PimpMySteam is a free, open-source ecosystem of two desktop apps — Steam Curator and Steam Grunge Editor — that help you personalize your Steam library and manage your wishlist smarter. One account connects both apps.
Yes. Completely free, no subscriptions, no premium tiers, no ads. Both apps are open source on GitHub and will remain free forever. That's a promise.
You need a PimpMySteam account (free to create). Connecting your Steam account is optional but enables wishlist import in Steam Curator.
Your data is stored in your own Google Drive — we never see your files. Authentication uses JWT tokens. Passwords are hashed with SHA-256. We don't track usage or sell data.
STEAM GRUNGE EDITOR
A desktop app for creating custom Steam artwork — covers (600×900), heroes, logos, icons, and VHS-style cassette art. It has a layer-based compositor with VHS deterioration effects, SteamGridDB search, and direct Steam sync.

Yes. The Sync to Steam button exports your artwork and copies it to your Steam grid folder automatically, using your SteamID. No manual file management.
Steam Grunge can search and download from SteamGridDB's library of 2M+ community artworks directly in the app, which you can use as a starting layer for your custom work.
STEAM CURATOR
A desktop wishlist manager that goes way beyond Steam's built-in wishlist. It adds priority tiers (S/A/B/C), price tracking, savings calculation, bulk cover downloads, and smart buy recommendations.
Steam Curator uses historical price data to estimate sale patterns and upcoming Steam sale windows. It's based on data, not guesses — similar to how SteamDB tracks prices.
After connecting your Google Drive in Settings, both apps automatically back up your data (wishlist, purchases, settings) to a folder called 'Steam Curator' or 'Steam Grunge Editor' in your personal Drive. Your files, your storage.
You can rate each wishlisted game with a priority tier. S = buy immediately on any sale. A = buy at 40%+ off. B = wait for deep discount. C = wishful thinking. Helps you decide instantly when a sale hits.
ACCOUNT AND TOKEN
Your PimpMySteam account connects both desktop apps to Google Drive sync and Steam wishlist import without needing local credentials. One account, everything works.
After creating your account, go to Settings → Apps → Generate Token. This is a permanent key you paste into the desktop apps. It never expires unless you regenerate it.
Open Steam Curator or Steam Grunge → go to Settings → PimpMySteam Account → paste your token → click Verify. Done. The app remembers it.
Two-factor authentication adds a second layer of security. When enabled, logging in requires a 6-digit code from an app like Google Authenticator. Recommended if you're using Google Drive sync.
